April 2015
Only 8 out of our 16 members were present for the AGM (our last) on April 17th.
The news came at the start of the meeting that Ray Scott and Hilary Pett were resigning from their committee posts. The remaining committee members were elected unopposed.
Steven, our Chairman, in his report, thanked the other members of the committee for their hard work and also to the contributors to Humber Light. With the paid-up membership now down to only 16, together with the loss of Hilary and Ray from the committee, Steven recommended that it was now time to close the branch. He suggested that the small surplus in the bank at the end of the year be used for a closure meal in mid November, which Hilary would organise. Hilary and Ray agreed to continue in their posts until closure. The vote for closure of the branch was agreed unanimously (but reluctantly).
Ray, our Secretary in his report talked through the meeting subjects that he had lined up for 2015 and also thanked Glyn for his assistance over the past few years during the time that he had been unable to attend meetings regularly.
In her report, Hilary advised that expenditure still outweighed income, but the room hire for meetings remained the same which helped somewhat with expenditure.
The final report was from Glyn. he advised that it had been a fairly satisfactory year for Humber Light, with publication almost on time. However, getting articles for the journal had continued to be difficult and as a result some editions had been shorter than usual. He thanked all contributors to the journal over the year; Roy Cressey, Simon Smith, Patrick Hill and Steven Tacey for articles or use of their photos.

May 2015
For the May meeting your webmaster brought along his presentation Fishing Vessels at Fleetwood. This consisted of around one hundred images taken at the Lancashire port between 1960 and 1990. As well as vessels based at the port, Icelandic, French and Dutch visiting vessels were included in the presentation. As far as was possible a potted history accompanied each image.
